TAC’s Managing Officer, Gary Weissel, was co-author with University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) on evaluating wheelchairs for potential use as aircraft seating. The testing involved static and dynamic testing of common types of manual and electric wheelchairs to FAA 25.561 and 25.562 testing standards.
