TAC is honored to have our Managing Officer, Gary Weissel, chosen as a committee member of the National Academy of Sciences, Transportation Research Board for the “Study on the Feasibility of In-cabin Wheelchair Restraint Systems”. Over the next 24 months, Mr. Weissel be participating in this study with an impression list of committee members from academia and industry. This study will look at the feasibility of allowing disabled passengers to remain in their own wheelchairs during flights. Lots of challenges ahead to see if this is even technically and economically feasible but we are excited to participate in this important study.
